It is nice to see Billcash.org is back. I wanted to let you know I have been rearranging the basement and came across the old SPY book and some other favorites. BAMBI, with Thumper laughing.
You are right about today's comments. There is no substitute for the look and feel of old books and the discovery of something new and exciting in the books. How else can you go back and linger and look at the favorite page over and over? Going back and looking at a web page or image is not the same.

If this venue doesn't reopen I hope another one will. What's happened to live music period? It used to be that people were excited about checking out a band. Today noone cares. They don't want to pay a cover charge so that the club can cover expenses and pay the bands.

Speaking as a musician, their booking agent was a real piece of work. Hopefully the club will reopen with someone who is honest, upfront, and decisive.

Hey how about those Mets! No wait I mean how about those Attorney Generals!
First you go to law school. Then you get in trouble with a sex scandal.

Is this something they teach in law school. Did Bill Clinton major in this, and everyone else wants in on the action, I mean headlines.

There is so much to comment on, come on Bill, take a break from those finals and give us your side of the story.

BS.
If you live in a danger spot and lose your house once: congratulations. Here's the money to rebuild - somewhere else (or stronger). If you rebuild on the same spot and lose your house again, that's between you and your insurance company, or anyone else who wants to offer their goodwill. But please don't ask the rest of the country, via the federal gov't, to foot the bill for your foolishness.
And yes, I'm talking to you too, New Orleans. Pretty soon Bourbon St. will be one of the best snorkel spots in the world!

NEW TOPICS
1) Old post here, have you nothing exciting going on in your life?

2) Do you know if you search for mom or mother you have no comments about her on your page

3) Are your friends aware of the baseball shirt being auction ebay number 120248650648 currently at $72,000! (By the way the items says standard shipping. For $72,000 it should come to you in a Rolls Royce

4) It's spring time can we just talk about the birds nesting, the grass growing or something like that?

You failed to mention strawberries which we also grew and the greenhouse on legs was to keep the starter plants growing. The most interesting gardening adventure was the Mothers Day Massacre.

Your dad had grown plants inside and then moved them in the greenhouse for weeks. It was a beautiful day and he transplanted all the plants.

That afternoon about 3 or 4 PM I was rocking you in a room upstairs and it started to rain, quickly changing to hail. At first I thought someone was beating the side of our house with a baseball bat.

No it was the sound of the hail hitting the house, gutters, siding and yes devastatingly all the little plants.

I suggested that the baby swimming pool we owned be picked up and taken out to cover the plants and that idea was not supported.

After about 20 minutes the hail stopped and people had holes in their gutters, windshields and the plants were beat to death.

We had 100's of Mother Earth News Magazines that explained all kinds of gardening things and ideas, but alas in an attempt to rid my house of all things to do with your father, they were thrown out after the divorce filling several trash cans one day.

I can also report we did not successful ever grow any potatoes that looked like small dogs or anything really unusual and suitable for Ripley's believe it or not.

Your brother also has a green thumb and successfully nurtured a marjuana plant to about three feet in height in his closet.

I wonder if it is possible to have a post about my WWII project, perhaps some of your friends would be interested.

Signed

My current home of the East Bay sits right on the Hayward Fault and is asking for trouble. The middle of the country is tornado alley, and much of the rest is flood prone (New Orleans et. al) or fire scorched (much of the West, every year.)

So there's danger everywhere; if we did a cost benefit analysis to determine living arrangements Americans would have to be crammed into a much smaller area than we now live in. Nobody wants to do that, either people in safe zones or danger spots. So those of us in the danger spots rely on the goodwill of others to bail us out as needed.

Hi,

First time I have been to this site. Sorry for your initial frustrations with the club and their feedback. I have been in bar management in Indiana for a long time and they handled it the wrong way with your feedback. Blues Station was not a "corporate" juncture, but was actually opened by local investors, including the Eric Clapton's father-in-law. I was hoping for the reason alone, Columbus would have a successful, authentic blues club. I guess not. Try the Slippery Noodle in Indianapolis. Hands down best Blues CLub in the midwest.

Good, trenchant analysis...not sure if this is proof of an open source tinge, but do think its an ample demonstration of the law of unintended consequences.

And yes, RealPlayer sucks.

I was bummed out too--just after raising the news stand price 25%, the paper shrinks! There's 1/3 less space for letters now, but there's supposed to be more letters online.

Of course, any serious reader of the Times has some form of online access. So this "shrinkage" may not be so dire. But it's still a bummer.

Greetings from Justme
Let’s talk about something really interesting:
From the Columbus Dispatch:
Mrs. Coleman (wife of Mayor Coleman) checked herself into an in-patient alcohol-treatment center that the mayor's office didn't identify, asking that her privacy be respected.
"Today is one of the toughest of our lives, but Frankie and I are dealing with it together," the mayor said in a statement. "I am proud of Frankie for accepting responsibility for her problem."
Mrs. Coleman served three days last year in an Akron jail staffed by a treatment center. She pleaded guilty to a drunken-driving charge after the car she was driving hit a parked truck in Bexley in 2005.
I think someone should introduce Mayor Coleman to Hillary Clinton. These two have “stood by their spouse,” when most others would have walked (if not ran away.)
If Frankie had taken responsibility for her problem after the wake up call in 2005, she wouldn’t be having this problem now.
I wonder if she too, will cut her hair like Brittany Spears before checking in to rehab?
They say the population is growing older and that new business should focus on the needs of old people who don’t wish to act of be seen as old.
I really think the money is in rehab centers.

Mrs. Coleman (wife of Mayor Coleman) checked herself into an in-patient alcohol-treatment center that the mayor’s office didn’t identify, asking that her privacy be respected.
“Today is one of the toughest of our lives, but Frankie and I are dealing with it together,” the mayor said in a statement. “I am proud of Frankie for accepting responsibility for her problem.”
